Katiki Point Lighthouse

After our visit to the Moeraki Boulders, we visited the nearby Katiki Point Lighthouse. A beautiful, windswept point - with penguins, seal lions, and fur seals!

The tiny white specks in the photo below are yellow-eyed penguins. The long brown shapes are sea lions.

As often happens in NZ, the weather turned unexpectedly on us. Though technically still summer, it was freezing with the coastal wind (and then rain....). Here's Simon, trying to snuggle down with David's hat and my socks :)

And Gwen trying to stay warm with David's shirt.

Cold but beautiful!
