Whanganui

Now back to the coast (west side this time). Sweet little port town of Whanganui. We caught it on market day, full of little stalls and stands, people selling delicious food, fresh juices, all kinds of produce, wine, art, and crafts. Spent a long time talking to some glass blowers, who were so taken with Simon and Gwendolyn they gave them each a free piece of blown glass. This town was also home my favorite NZ mural to date. I love these interlocking blue kiwis.

We spent some time at the local i-site (you find these everywhere, full of great details on each locality), looking at cool topographical maps. And then on the road once more!
