Ohakune

The next part of our journey was stunning. Driving south from Lake Taupo to Ohakune, we passed through Tongariro National Park. Couldn't stop taking pictures of these beautiful volcanic peaks!!

Finally we stopped in the ski town (super quiet in summer) of Ohakune. Some car-pent up kids, so happy to be out of their confines for a bit. A great meal and a good rest.
